Just now I tried both method of blog claim on Technorati. Seems like both method has failed. I don't know why but Technorati may misunderstood my blog as hosted on WordPress.com. Here is what they say:
Sorry, your claim could not be completed because we couldn't find the claim code on your site. Please make sure you've followed all the steps above and try again. Need a hand? Visit the FAQ.
OK, so I head to the FAQ and found this topic: Getting the "..couldn't find the claim code on your site" message?
What might be happend?
The FAQ says, and what I did
1. Try pinging Technorati.
OK, I didn't really do this yet. Maybe something wrong with my pinging list. This is a possible cause.
I checked my blog's ping list, and unfortunately only 1 ping URL: http://rpc.pingomatic.com/. But I don't it should be the cause, because Technorati "Released the spider" to crawl my site, it shouldn't matter what's on... or does it?
I pinged the Blog URL on Technorati Ping page, and here is the result:
Thanks for the Ping!
Technorati will now check apmart.com for new content. You can bookmark this page and return to it to notify Technorati of updates.
Automate this! You can have your blog software ping for you. Just enter http://rpc.technorati.com/rpc/ping into your weblog tool's configuration for Pings and Notifications. Check our ping configuration page for more information.
And it still doesn't work.
2. Double Check that your claim code is correct
I'm sure the code is correct, because I copy directly from Technorati page and pasted into my post in HTML.
3. If you are using the Link Claim Method ("a href" code) to claim your blog
4. Make sure you are claiming the right URL
5. Check your Validation
6. If you have a redirect in place, please check what kind it is.
I don't really think anyway this cause problem. Unless I'm having 404 again. But it display correctly over here, what would make it not display over at Technorati?
7. iWeb08 Blogs
My blog isn't iWeb08 Blog, so this shouldn't be my concern.
What worked?
Well, since I don't have enough time to do all the suggestions. I wanna stop right here and just put the link on a text widget, which will ultimately display on my blog homepage. So that it MUST WORK. If it doesn't work this time, it's ABNORMAL.
I did that, and here is the result:
Congratulations!
